Primary Function | What you'll do
The Cybersecurity Technical Architect is responsible for designing and implementing a robust security architecture that ensures the protection of the company’s infrastructure, applications, and systems. This role involves collaboration across various departments to align security strategies with business goals, while providing technical leadership in cybersecurity solutions.
Role-Specific Responsibilities | What they want
- Strong expertise in cybersecurity threats, frameworks, monitoring, and risk management.
- Deep knowledge of security architecture across infrastructure, applications, and networks.
- Proficient in security technologies, cryptography, and network security.
- Senior-level skills in one or more IT disciplines; Application Development, Infrastructure, and/or Desktop
- Conceptual knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, C#...etc.
Key Activities & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement enterprise security architecture strategies, addressing security risks and requirements.
- Collaborate with leadership to create security policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Provide cybersecurity expertise in project planning, including hardware, software, and network security.
- Help plan and design cybersecurity architecture (infrastructure, desktop, network, wireless, Operations Technology (OT) and application-level components)
- Propose and design security solutions for network and application architectures.
- Analyze and recommend new security technologies and processes to enhance security.
- Author security documentation and contribute to project and system design reviews.
- Mentor staff on emerging security technologies and provide performance feedback.
- Design solutions to increase cybersecurity posture and drive IT/OT systems impact

Qualifications | What you'll need
- 10+ years in network, system, and security infrastructure development.
- Extensive or advanced knowledge of one or more and working knowledge in all of the following technical disciplines: Unix, Active Directory Windows Server infrastructure, Storage Area Networking, TCP/IP networking, network security architecture, cryptography, application security best practices, Service Oriented Architecture, Business Intelligence Systems, Database Management Systems, and systems development.
- Advanced certifications such as CCIE, GIAC Security Expert, or OSCP.
- Conceptual knowledge of utility business and related Operations Technology Systems (SCADA, DCS, etc.)
PREFERRED:
- NIST & SOX Standards
- Working knowledge of Utility, Energy or Telecom industries
